Due to an unexpected simultaneous multiple drive failure, we're experiencing a major outage of our company infrastructure, which affects a wide variety of customer facing services such as our website, support system, server panel, billing system, payment gateway, SE public DNS server, among other important services.
This outage only affects Privex company services such as those listed above, customer's virtual servers and dedicated servers are unaffected and should still be running, however you may experience issues resolving domains due to our Sweden public DNS server being offline, which is the default DNS server for our SE region VPS's, and some of our other EU region VPS's
If you're currently receiving errors trying to resolve domains (e.g. privex.io, google.com), you may need to change your server's DNS servers. On Ubuntu you need to edit the YML file in the folder /etc/netplan/
and remove/replace the DNS servers 185.130.44.20
and 2a07:e00::333
then run sudo netplan apply
- while on Debian you need to edit the file /etc/resolv.conf
- for other operating systems please consult a search engine such as DuckDuckGo or Google.
Our other region's DNS servers should still be online, such as our NL DNS server 185.130.47.20
and 2a07:e03::333
- but you can also use a third party public DNS server such as Google's DNS servers at 8.8.8.8
and 2001:4860:4860::8888
Due to our support system being offline, we are unable to receive any support tickets via email or the support system website. If you require urgent support, please Join our Discord server where you can contact our staff until this issue is resolved. Please be aware that this outage affects our internal administration tools which severely limits our ability to provide customer support, we may have trouble locating your server until we're able to get our administration systems back up.
